The old Intercard web site was in need of bringing up to date with a more contemporary look.
The new site neatly integrates Intercard's two key business areas and is much simpler to navigate.

Web site design briefIntercard's existing web site was already mature and well indexed by search engines, but it was in need of an overhaul to bring it up to date with a more contemporary look and feel, and to advertise Intercard's current range of products and services. Intercard had previously requested a "split site" to segregate the two areas in which they specialised. WyeTec suggested combining the two sites and using menus accessible from every page to simplify navigation and improve user-friendliness. The gateway page and front-page Flash® animation were removed, and replaced with a new front page with straightforward graphics and concise, relevant content. Intercard's revised marketing literature was incorporated into the site, with technical factsheets available in PDF format for easy download and printing by the site visitor. A News section has also been added, providing a convenient route by which new and relevant content can be introduced on a regular basis and site visitors encouraged to return. Specific attention was paid to web site creation fundamentals such as providing appropriate keywords and tailored descriptions for each page. Keyword density is carefully monitored, and informative alternative text provided for all images. Such simple but important details are frequently overlooked by web programmers, but are valuable tools for use in search engine optimisation.
