Learn what makes a good website
Whether your website was written in-house, or by an external agency, you'll finish the day
feeling confident and able to make improvements to your site – or able to give your external
agency specific details of improvements you want making. Those looking to commission a new
website will feel able to make informed choices, and commission a better specified, and better
performing, website. The course is not aimed at web developers (although they may too find it
useful) and you do not need any more than a basic understanding of using the Internet for it
to benefit you.
During this seminar you can expect to:
- learn what makes a website perform well
- gain confidence in making improvements to your website
- understand how to brief your web designer
- be able to make more informed choices about your website
- understand how search engines work
- gain insights into writing powerful content
- uncover ways to promote your website more effectively
Theoretical and practical help to improve your web site
The seminars are informative, interactive and fun, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of
Internet marketing – from basic details of how the web & search engines work, search engine
optimisation, design & navigation tips, authoring content for your website, and promoting it effectively.
We'll also dispel some of the many myths surrounding the World Wide Web!
The sessions culminate in an open workshop looking at the websites of each of the delegates and how
& where improvements can be made and, of course, highlighting where excellent development has
been done too.
Small group size for maximum benefit
To maintain the best balance between making the sessions lively and interactive, and ensuring you get
value for money, each seminar requires a minimum of 4 delegates, and a maximum of 6. Where possible,
we'll also try to ensure that the delegates in your session have a similar level of understanding to
yourself, so the course can be tailored to suit.
